Media literacy is defined as a modern approach to education that provides a framework for interaction with messages in all forms (Sean, 2019). Furthermore, it provides individuals with skills to understand information and differentiate “fake” news from “real” news. Media literacy empowers people to engage in the global media environment safely. It enables the development of critical skills essential for the analysis and evaluation of media messages.
Media Effects
Media effects are theories that explain the power of mass media on the kens and stances of its audience (Borah, 2016). A recent study has shown that mass media and social media affect university students (Maurer, 2020). These effects are positive or negative. Moreover, more studies have indicated the impact of media on consumer confidence (Maurer, 2020). These findings suggest that media affects its audience.

Forbes is an American business magazine formed in 1917 by B.C Forbes and Walter Drey (The Enterprise World, 2021). Its headquarters are in Jersey City, New Jersey.
