Comparing Angela Lee Duckworth and Rodrigo Roa Duterte as Speakers

Essay Instructions:

Your task is to find an example of a speaker who succeeds in projecting their ethos & a speaker who isn't as successful with their ethos. You will submit:
A video of each speech/presentation (that's 2 videos this time, unlike the previous exercises)
A brief comparative analysis of the ethos used in these speeches/presentations (150-200 words)
Here are some questions to consider when writing your analysis:
How did each speaker project their ethos? Clothing, language, tone of voice, information presented, etc.?
How did the ethos of each speaker match their rhetorical situation?
For example, business people wearing suits, a motivational speaker referring to personal experiences, or a politician showing that they've listened to people from a different political party.
Which speaker was more successful in projecting their ethos? Why?
How could the less successful speaker be more successful?

To prove her credibility, she started by stating her profession as a public-school teacher and revealed the result of her year-long research, which showed that grit, instead of intelligence quotient, is the most significant factor determining the lessons (Duckworth, 2013). She was excellent in proving her credibility as she combined her observation from personal...
