American High is one of the on-the-rise streaming companies in the United States. As stated earlier, the company's primary focus is to determine how it creates a "top-of-mind" brand. While the company has utilized a strong focus on the use of Social Media platforms like TikTok, a closer analysis of its organic search strategy could help improve our overall approach.
Initially, the authors of this research conducted a Google Trend Analysis for the key term "American High," which resulted in a constant stream of searches in the United States. However, by lengthening the search results until early 2004, it seems that there was not much change in the search term despite its launching in 2014 (Figure 1).

While many factors could influence this trend, it is clear that the search term itself is more famous for the series “American High” on PBS and Fox Network, which premiered starting in 2001 (Figure 2). The SERP (Search Engine Results Page) would show that this series would occupy the top result, and the company's website would only occupy the second position (in phone and tablet mediums). To help supplement the keywords used, the authors tried to use the terms “Classy Films” and “AmericanHigh.com.”

On the one hand, "ClassyFilms.com" refers to its previous name before it changed to AmericanHigh.com. Using this term would help determine whether or not the website is more popular (and thus more commonly searched) using its previous website name.

On the other hand, “AmericanHigh.com” is another search term that the authors used to determine the possibility of determining direct search using the company’s website. However, the results for these two search terms also proved that little-to-no searches were done for the term in the United States for the past five years.

Finally, the authors tried to find American High in Google Trends using operative keywords such as "Where we make movies" and "American High Natalie DeVito." Unfortunately, both of these also resulted in the same amount of evidence.
Improving Competitiveness
In line with this, the authors of this article believe that American High should focus more on building its brand using SEO efforts to supplement its robust social media campaign. As stated in the previous sections, the company utilizes its social media accounts to build organic traffic and outreach for its marketing efforts.
Utilizing Search Engine Optimization
On the one hand, it must be noted that one of the issues faced by American High is building brand awareness. While utilizing social media is one of the best ways to build brand awareness, this may take a while, especially when competing with other companies with significantly higher marketing budgets.
