COMPARE THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE IN CANADA AND CHINA
There is a stark contrast between the Chinese and Canadian shopping experience. First and foremost, these differences have been primarily fueled by disparities in consumer preferences. While the Chinese consumer industry is largely driven by the young and middle-aged populations who have a penchant for luxury and coziness, Canadian shopping experience is predominantly influenced by western style and culture (Shopping Malls, 2007). Regarding product offering, both Chinese and Canadian shoppers have access to a wide range of products under one roof even though the Chinese tend to have a lot more offerings as compared to their western counterparts. Regarding service, the Chinese shopping malls insist on great customer experience, whereas their Canadian counterparts largely underscore customer satisfaction. A Canadian shopping mall, West Edmonton Mall (WEM) has recently lost its fame to giant Chinese malls that are among the world’s largest.
