In learning how to play music, the speaker employs four simple processes. First, he deconstructs the skill by breaking it into smaller pieces and learning the most important elements. For instance, he discovers four basic chords required to play the Ukelele instead of many available ones. Secondly, he knows to self-correct by concentrating on retaining just enough for what he needs to self-practice to play music, where he is playing the Ukelele. Thirdly, he removes all the barriers such as television and the internet while practicing. Lastly, he practices for at least 20 hours by having his last bit of the 20 hours on the stage performing a song to the audience. All these processes have a connection to the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy in various dimensions. First, just like the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy that build progressively from one to the next, the processes the speaker employs in learning to play the Ukelele are progressive in that one step makes it into the other. Besides, just like the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy, whereby they range from lower-order thinking skills to higher-order thinking skills, the processes involved in learning to play the Ukelele by the speaker also follow the same order by starting with lower-order thinking skills to higher-order thinking skills.
