Every business has a plan or a goal. What is the mission or goal you will achieve for your customer? This statement is a huge marketing tool that can also be used to set you apart from your competitor.
♦What is your mission statement?

Is the old saying "It takes money to make money" or "you can't make something from nothing* really true? Do your own research and answer that question to the best of your ability. Keep in mind this question is a matter of opinion, therefore there is no right or wrong answer.
♦Where is your "start- up" money coming from? Will you take out a loan? Have you worked and saved?
Did you inherit money? Do you have an investor or silent partner? Did you put something up for collateral?
4. Sole proprietor/incorporated/employees/benefits
♦Is your plan to be a one person operation, or will you need employees? If you are employing people will you provide any benefits, and if so what will they be?
5. Marketing Plan
If you tell them they will come. What is your plan your strategy to get the word out on your business?
How will you stay in peoples mind? Will you use mass mailing, social media, print, websites etc.
6. Running your business
Describe your day to day. Hours of business.
7. What is your short/long term goal for your business
Be sure to answer each of the questions above in a well thought out manor. I expect fully developed answers. These answers should be a minimum of 5-7 sentences. This project is your final for this class and but it also will count as 10% of your final.
Again, remember to answer all questions from sections 1-7 including your previous statements creating a comprehensive business model. Be specific, well thought out and creative. Spelling does count. All projects must be handed in hard copy with a cover page as though you are handing in a real business proposal. NO Email will be accepted for your final draft. You will be graded on meeting the deadline, body of information and thoroughness, Logo, spelling and presentation. You will receive 10 points off per late day up to 5 days then you take a zero. I am available to take questions, or look at any section/rough draft during your class time or any day after school by appointment Mon-Thursday until 2:30.1 you would like to submit a rough draft, I will read your completed rough draft no later than November 22nd. so that you have enough time to make changes.

1. Choosing your business: Think creatively while answering the following questions.
* Are you looking to START UP a business that will stand the test of time? Will it have what it takes to sustain longevity ie something that the consumer will always need, can be consistently updated to be current and relevant with the times? Can it grow? Can it have multiple locations, or be franchised?
*Will you be catering to the niche market? Is your product or service popular, and on trend? Will it make you quick money with instant success? Will this trend pass with time to be "replaced" by the next best "thing"?
*Location is key: do you need a store front, a destination location, or an online store?
* Who will be your target audience? Examples; is this kid friendly, family oriented, for the working professional.
*Do you have a product(s) or does your company provide a service?
*Most important, are you excited, and passionate about your business, and can you make others want or need what you are offering?

When you have a great name, people will remember it, talk about it, and will develop an emotional connection to your brand. A great name speaks for itself, and does not require you to over market, or spend time trying to convince the consumer you are unique, and special. Think very carefully while answering the following questions:
