Description of the Problem
The problem that I have chosen to be solved with the packaging solution is the threat of plastics. While going from one part of the city to another, I often find plastic products threatening the environment in a variety of ways. These are created with natural, organic materials, such as cellulose, coal, crude oil, and natural gas. These are non-renewable resources. Unfortunately, the number of plastic bags is increasing day by day and this is causing problems for the human environment. Burning of the plastic products adds a lot of pollutants and smoke to the air, which means it is too difficult to dispose of them safely.
A Sketch of My Idea
In addition to individual efforts, there is a strong need to urge brands to rethink their packaging mindsets. More than five trillion pieces of plastics are present in the oceans right now; this is a matter of great concern. The worst thing is most of the companies do not bother to replace plastic products or plastic bags with environment-friendly bags or products. So, my idea is to encourage both small and large company owners to join hands to solve this problem. It should be noticed that plastics do not fully biodegrade, meaning they continue getting broken into small pieces whenever they endure the weathering process.
