Nike's Macro-Economic Picture Nike Inc. has been operating competitively in the United States and also locally. Consequently, it is necessary to understand the macro-economic factors that influence its success in domestic and international platforms. The PESTLE analysis is the most effective way to assess Nike's macro-economic environment and understand its success (Kincade & Park , 2010). First, Nike enjoys a conducive political environment both at the domestic and at the local levels. The free trade policies that exist in most of the company's external investments ensure that the company can operate competitively against other brands and hence its success. This ensures that the company can penetrate further in the markets against other brands. For instance, the company has achieved a significant advantage in the equipment and footwear market segment due to its political positioning. Additionally, Nike Inc. has exploited the domestic market's economic stabilitynd ensures that it invests in economically stable international markets (Kincade & Park , 2010). Consequently, Nike's social-cultural environment has supported the company, with most of its consumers influencing other individuals to consume its products by claiming the associated quality. In most countries, the company has been associated with product quality and customer satisfaction, alluding to potential consumers that the product is quality. Hence, it is consumed more than products from competing firms. Also, the organizations' emphasis on the safe use of its products has initiated a positive attitude towards the product's consumers, increasing its success. Also, the firm has heavily invested in the research and development of its products to ensure that the organization maintains a competitive edge over other organizations. Nike's actions illustrate a sense of aggression such that it can remain up to date with consumer needs and demands and hence maintain a competitive advantage. Finally, the company has been significantly involved in ensuring that it remains compliant with the respective markets' ecological and environmental requirements. This enables the company to maintain the required corporate social responsibility standards and improve its goodwill and CSR ratings that directly account for better sales and penetration into different markets.  Nike's Financial Data Consequently, submits its fiscal data every year to measure its financial position. In 2020, the firm reported a decline in revenue that resulted from the shutdown of stores due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
