Identifying and assessing prospective opportunities in a certain market is known as a market opportunity analysis (MOA). Finding prospective areas of growth and profitability for a firm, as well as potential threats and difficulties, are the results of conducting an MOA.
A SWOT analysis and a market segmentation study are two components of an MOA. Experts use a SWOT analysis to evaluate a corporation’s external market possibilities and threats and internal strengths and weaknesses (Chowdhury, 2019). An organization can learn from this analysis where it might make improvements and where it might be at a disadvantage. For instance, a business that sells organic items can list its dedication to sustainability and reputation for high-quality products as its strengths. However, it also points to a flaw in the price premium above non-organic goods.
