In today’s lodging Industry, there are a wide range of great hotel / motel brands that work tirelessly to deliver their products and services to the customer segments they serve. Make sure APA format.
For this assignment, you are going to choose one (1) major hotel/motel brand (global brand, regional brand, or boutique brand) and conduct an in-depth research study.
This could be a brand you currently work for, a brand you want to work for one day, and a brand you are interested in learning more about.
Provide a brief overview of the brand including an overview of its parent company (if applicable), age of the brand and a brief history, number of properties, average number rooms per property, an overview of the brand hallmarks, an overview of the guest loyalty program, and most recent hotel brand performance metrics (i.e., annual ADR, Occ %, RevPAR, and competitive market metrics).
Determine the brand organizational restructure for their properties, the role / responsibilities for each position, and whether this is the optimal structure for the brand.
Analyze the portfolio of hotel brands and the different level of services that the parent company offers and determine whether this is the optimal level of brands and services provided. Explain your rationale.
Analyze the marketing and customer rewards system used by this brand and determine if this is the optimal marketing system to allow for repeat customer reservations and brand loyalty. Explain your rationale.

Conrad Hotels and Resorts is one of the best-known international hotel brands which is managed by Hilton Worldwide. The hotel was named after the founder of the Hilton worldwide, Conrad Hilton. The first Conrad hotel is situated in Australia and was opened in 1985. The hotel has branches in 34 different parts of the world such as Mexico, united states of America, Uruguay, China, India Indonesia and Colombia among others. There are also other branches under development and are expected to be opened in 2019,2020, and 2025. The capacity of the hotels varies from one branch to another. However, a common feature is that all the hotels have conference rooms and accommodation built on modern designs. For instance, Conrad Pune has 310 guest rooms and a meeting space of 20000sq.ft. Conrad Manila has a club cinema that has three theatres, and each of the theaters has a seating capacity of 38pople. The brand has an approximation of 913000 rooms worldwide hence making it one of the world's largest hospitality companies. As well, the sales of hotels in different parts of the world grow different. For instance, in 2016, Conrad hotel in Dublin recorded a sales increase of 15% (Baydar, 2019). This is an indication that the marketing and management strategies of the hotel were made to ensure the attraction of new customers. However, the profitability of the hotels cannot be compared among the different branches because each of the branches operates in a different environment. Some of the branches are situated in highly populated areas, and therefore, their projected sales and profits are expected to be more as compared to those that are located in less populated areas.
In addition, Conrad hotels have a competitive market advantage due to its good management by the Hilton company. Hilton is best known for managing many hotels operating internationally. Therefore, they have been able to study the Conrad markets and in turn provide a conducive management structure hence making Conrad one of the best hotels in the world (Belarmino, Whalen, Koh, & Bowen, 2019). The resources, experts and industry-leading tools are designed to offer an enhanced competitive advantage. In addition, the hotels have a policy for corporate responsibility whereby they invest in the value chain to impact the various issues that are core to the business. Conrad hotels drive a positive environmental and social change in their operations and society. They have built a strong brand portfolio by outlining all the necessary factors that contribute to the publicity and profitability of the hotel. They have also included a section for advertising the available career opportunities. The hotel management advocate for teamwork among the employees which is a great way of ensuring that the customers receive the best services possible. Through teamwork, the employees are able to identify the flaws within the hotel that needs to be corrected to ensure that each of the clients receives the best treatment possible.
