Week 10: Assignment 3: Explainer Video/Product Development Plan Part C
Instructions:
You will next create an Explainer Video for your product. This is the third and final part of the Product
Development Plan. In your video, you will be introducing your new product to your target customers in an attempt to gain their attention, and ultimately get them to buy your product, or express their interest in it. This video should be between 3-5 minutes in length and contain the following information:
1. A short product description- this is the part where you’ll explain what your product is and how it works
2. Your target audience- who would find your product valuable? You can call them out specifically and include language that they would find attractive.
3. The problem that your product is addressing- how will your product help these customers and how is it better than current solutions for helping with their problem and/or meeting their needs.
4. The key features or benefits that you want to showcase- what features does your product have that the others do not? What are its benefits? Showcase your delighters here as well.
5. How to use your product and how it works- you can either show or discuss how your product works (or will work if it is still in development or the idea formulation stage)
6. The call to action -what do you want the viewer to do after they watch the video- do you want them to sign up to get more information about the product, leave a deposit so that they can buy the product when it becomes available, share their feedback, like your product page, etc?
