The reasons that ignited the 1812 War involved England placing special taxes and limitations on the U.S. merchant ships. The British also refused to withdraw from U.S., especially in the Great Lakes region, defying the 1783 Paris Treaty. Another reason that irritated the Americans was the British impressment of American sailors into their military during their war with France. The British also kept aiding Native American hostility toward settlers in the Northwest Territory.
Question Two
The American invasion in the East conflicted with Indian nations, causing a division among Native Americans. The accommodationists were absorbed by the western ways, while the traditionalists resisted their influence. They believed that by rejecting American ways, God would restore Indian power by overturning the land to cover the whites and making them the only land inhabitants.
Question Three
The president, Joe Biden, withdrew the American forces from Afghanistan to follow through on the agreement. The agreement required the U.S. government to withdraw its troops by 1st May 2021 from the 20 years of war and counterterrorist actions. American troops died in a war that the Afghan forces fled from. Therefore, the withdrawal was to protect American lives. Another example was during World War II.
