Critical thinking is the ability to use data, facts, and observations in analyzing information carefully and making a judgment about something. Critically reasoned people can make the right decision because they can distinguish between the right and wrong . Critical thinking might be used in the advancement of a career in the ways discussed below.
Using analytical skills: This is the ability to assess something carefully and understand what it means. In any career one needs to analyze the situations well before undertaking to do something. This will be important as it will lead to reasonable conclusions.
Communication: As a tool in the advancement of the career, one needs to possess it. One needs to effectively communicate with other employees or employer to share the problems and ideas. Communication is also crucial as it entails critical thinking with other employees on specific issues.
Creativity: One needs to employ creativity in their career as it will lead to realizing innovative ideas. Creativity will enable a person to have a vision in his career, so it’s an excellent tool in the realization of career aspirations.
Open-mindedness is an essential tool in critical thinking as it enables a person to do away with the assumptions and instead assess the information with objectivity without any discrimination.
Problem-solving is another tool in critical thinking as it enables a person to assess the problem and come up with an idea for implementation and further doing the supervision of the implemented idea to see if it’s working.
The assumption that was made by me is that “Education is the key to success “, an assumption that has made a good positive consequences in my life. This assumption helps me to be hardworking and determined in school for successful completion of my college.
In matters concerning the customs and values of my community, I have found myself using the activated ignorance because some values, beliefs, and values are not true. The steps, therefore, need to be taken towards the use of activated knowledge by taking action to find the truth of a belief and to assess some situations concerning same believes in justifying the truth.
Describe the differences between inert information, assumptions, and inferences
Inert information is anything that is memorized but meaningful information not made out of it. The inert information is different from the practical understanding of issues. Meaningful and practical information should be made out of inert information. There is a lot of information that is memorized in schools, colleges and reallife but practical and meaningful information are not made out of it. For instance “ Education is the key to success”, this saying may be memorized in people’s minds instead of finding the practical information concerning the saying. In this case the research is not made to find out the real meaning of the saying, whether it is true or false. Therefore inert information is information that is kept memorized but the real and practical meanings are not made out of...
