I recently participated in group task at our workplace. I was working as an intern for an insurance firm. I was a member of the sales team in charge of promoting sales and marketing insurance products. The role of the sales team was to develop new business by reaching and contacting potential clients and selling the company’s insurance products. Our task was to promote sales of long-term care, health, life, casualty and property insurance products to potential customers. The task involved selling company’s insurance policies to protect businesses and people from financial loses occurring from theft, fire, automobile accidents and other events which might damage property. Our casualty and property insurance products were vital for businesses to cover medical malpractice claims, product liability claims, and injured workers’ compensation.
Despite our sales team was mandated to carry out crucial roles for the organization, the team was underperforming, and the team leader was not certain how to turn things around.
