Cancer has been a major disease in most parts of the United States which have led to increase in demand for cancer care. According to research, there are about 2 million cases of cancer are identified in every year. Population increase has led to increase in the cancer cases up to 50% in the number of cancer cases being reported every year. This has increased competition among the cancer centers which offer treatment to meet the expectation of the patients. This paper will tackle on various characteristics of the users of the Cancer Centers, the strategy for marketing success, tools of the marketing mix and possible pricing strategy.
The Key Characteristics of the Users of The Products And Services of the Health Care Provider You Selected.
There are many studies performed on the basis of the sociodemographics of the cancer patients. In the 2007 research by Im Eun-Ok et al., confirmed the findings of the various studies which indicated that 89% of the Americans suffering from cancer are Caucasians. The Asian Americans are ranked number two, followed the Hispanic and the African Americans. Notably, women are the most affected by cancer, unlike the men. However, the studies on the number of people who have been reported to suffer from cancer vary depending on the method of research that the researchers have used. Also, men tend to search for information about cancer while a majority of the women will seek support and encouragement. A 2014 study by Puri et al. indicated that the majority of the population affected by cancer cases is the high socioeconomic status. The investigation further revealed that the most reported cancer cases among the male are the lung cancer and cancer of the oesophagus. For the female, the most reported cases are the breast cancer and cervical cancer. These people are learned, and the average cancer age is at 35 years. However, other people realize that they have cancer when they are at various stages and therefore it’s not easy to tell the age when the cancer started. The low socioeconomic status consists most people who do not have much information on their cancer health. Also, the socioeconomic status is associated with the lifestyle and feeding habits which are mostly regarded as causative agents for cancer hence the reason for high cancer cases among the upper socioeconomic class. With the increased cancer campaigns, people are aware of cancer hence the increase in the desire for healthcare service providers to this group of patients.

The American Cancer Centers face competition from private healthcare service providers. Majority of these providers practice at a personal level in their offices where they meet their patients and advice on the best cancer management practices that they should adopt.
