Reliving history cannot be achieved through physical means of turning back the hands of time but only through memories that are passed on from generation to generation. A recent visit to an art exhibition was reminiscent of a trip down the history and cultural background of the African American community in the U.S. A collection of various works of art portraying various aspects of the African American community, its past struggles with slavery, racial discrimination, and its cultural heritage. The curation coupled with the exhibited works of art embodied the message or rather the artist’s intent in creating the works displayed.
