Modern Homo Sapiens entered the period known as the Paleothic about 40, 000 years ago. This period refers to what is commonly known as the Old Stone Age, and in terms of human development it the earliest era and probably the longest in human history. Having established this important piece of their history, it is now imperative to mention what and how they got their food. The people of the paleiothic era happened to be the first of modern humans in the continent of Europe. And they were mostly hunters and gatherers.
