Introduction
The show that I chose to watch online is of Deer Tick which was held at the Cannery Ballroom on the 17th of April 2018.No doubt that the show was amazing by the response that came from the audience. Furthermore, the show was fool to capacity and it would have been difficult for any person to have a space if they wished to come after the rock band had started to perform. By the cheers and the acclamation that was coming from the crowd, it was evident enough that people were in love with the Deer Tick band and at the same time the performance was energetic (Beatcasttv, 2012). There were other aspects within the performance as watched online that were evident like instrumentation, influences and the way technology was fused in the performance.
Genre
Rock was the kind of music that was being performed by the Deer Tick band. The music was full of energy and the artists were also well organized by the way that they gestured on the stage. Since rock music is mostly associated with energy and heavy instrumentation, such elements were evident in the show. The artists on the stage presented themselves well, and the performance was getting a lot of applause from the crowd in attendance. On the other hand, as it is with rock music, there were times when only the instrumentations would be played as the musicians went silent (Beatcasttv, 20120. The instrumentation was being done in a way that it complimented the music. At certain times, there was a high tone of instrumentation while at times the music would go low depending on the way the music was being presented.
It is a norm for rock music to have a lot of movements from the artists performing it.As seen within the video on YouTube, the Deer Tick band did not disappoint at any time. The musicians would be seen moving from one point to the other as they went on with their singing. There are times when the music would only be performed as the Deer Tick band got animated. At specific points within the video, there are scenes when the band members can be seen going close to the other as they get animated and at the same time playing the guitar. Playing with the help of a guitar is a common style that is associated with rock music (Beatcasttv, 2012). It is therefore essential to note that the performance of the Deer Tick at the Cannery Ballroom was well done in accordance with the expectation of rock music.
Instrumentation
Instrumentation is a major component when it comes to rock music. Within the Deer Tick performance, three kinds of instruments could be seen on the stage. A guitar, drum sets and a keyboard are some of the instruments that brought the performance of the well-known band to a high. There were two artists on the stage that played the guitar all through the performance; it was evident that the performance was being perfected by the artists playing the guitars. There were times when the artists playing the guitars would change the keys of their instruments and make their music get to a high key (Beatcasttv, 2012). The handling of the guitars is the other thing that was conspicuous as the artists would be seen raising the guitars and at the same time lowering them down.
