The way that society views the environment has changed substantially in recent years. In the past, nature was frequently seen as a never-ending resource that could be used for human gain. However, with the start of the Industrialization period and the ensuing rise in pollution and destruction of the environment, society started to understand the importance of preserving natural resources and sustainable utilization.
