Thomas Jefferson is a renowned American Statesman and philosopher and was among the founders of the United States. He served as the President from 1801 to 1809 after serving as the Vice President under John Adams from 1797 to 1801. Apart from these public roles, Jefferson also held other government positions in the previous years. The first critical achievement of Thomas Jefferson was that he was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. During his time, he constantly promoted democratic ideals and republicanism.
