Lily NG’s Straphanger’s Ball is the most outsider in the exhibition at the Fountain House gallery. Lily uses a combination of nylon thread, copper wire, bubble wrap, nylon tulle, brass findings, and metro cards to create the art piece. The combination of materials such as bubble wrap and metro cards brings out the nativity of the artist. Professional artists uncommonly use such materials. Moreover, the piece lacks correlation to other works of art, and this lack of resemblance means that it cannot be associated with any art culture.
