Technological devices have become ubiquitous. Digital overstimulation refers to the tension or hyper-arousal of the brain due to increased background activity triggered by electronic gadgets, which limits people’s abilities to think clearly. Contemporary digital societies have diverse stimuli emanating from social media, televisions, computers, smartphones, and other electronic devices (Robson 69). In particular, recent technological innovations have led to excessively stimulating environments for individuals today. Digital overstimulation is a real concern given the connectedness of people to digital technologies.
Currently, many individuals cannot stay without using or checking their electronic devices now and then.
