The important concept highlighted in the reading was the global justice movement and its development, as well as the importance and urgency it places on the human side of the impacts of globalization and capitalism. However, the direct effects to several populations become overshadowed when there are issues that seem to be more pressing, like economic crises, and the global justice movement addresses this gap. Moghadam highlights the need to address issues in equality and how the global justice movement is the byproduct of capitalism (Moghadam 92).
