THESIS: The Roman Empire, one of the most influential and greatest civilizations in history, was established in 625 BC in Etruria and Latium in antique Italy by Latium inhabitants and early settler from the surrounding hills following an Etruscan invasion that eventually led to the Period of Kings between 625and 510 BC, the Republican Period between 510 and 31BC, and the Imperial Period between 31BC and AD 476.
