At the core of successful organizational communication and public relations is the ability of individuals, agencies, and departments to communicate freely and openly. Partnerships are formed based on meeting, developing and progressing our interpersonal relationship. Our current technological advancements have led to the development of modern means of communication such as the internet and social media. Companies can use these channels to reach potential customers, and interact with them to either lure them into buying their products and services or gain feedback concerning their products. It is through such channels that companies like Word of Mouth Interactive have been able to offer their professional services such as network data monitoring, online crisis public relations, online e-commerce, and word-of-mouth marketing. Since the company deals with companies and consumers, the type of communication that exists is informal. The informal communication is meant to satisfy their social interest. The channel allows them to comment on the products offered, hoping that the company would consider their feedback and change their products. On the other hand, the informal communication is meant to help companies manage a threatening and insecure environment by acting on the feedback from the client and change their products to be more advantaged than their competitors regarding market share. However, despite the effectiveness of the Word of Mouth Interactive, several factors affect the effectiveness of communication.
