1 What are “the Two Cultures” that Snow is describing? (50-100 words)
The two cultures, was the first influential speech that was delivered by a chemist and a novelist by C.P Snow in 1959 in rede lecture. The two cultures refer to the divide between science and the arts. These two divides represent the western world and the rest of the rest nations. The western world is highly developed and dictates the world. Snow says he felt like moving between two intellectuals, who have the same race but not talking to each other. Further, he explains that when one intellectual travels from one place to another, he meets the other intellectual. This means these two intellectuals are everywhere but divided. This division was part of the architect for solving problems in the world.

The tension between the two influential intellectuals resulted in a wide separation between the rich and the poor. The rich continued to be richer, while the poor remained standstill. Snow goes on to explain that even though the western world is ahead of India, Asia, and Africa, the knowledge of science can be trained or taught to help the underdeveloped improve.
