The Europeans felt the Native Americans were not ambitious because they were not taking advantage of opportunities; they felt they were lazy. This was against their work ethic, that started with the Protestant Work Ethic, that has permeated into everyday American society from the Puritan days, and their fear of predestination, and not being a member of God’s elect.

Culture generally refers to the ideas, customs and social behavior of a particular person or society. Culture teaches and helps people to be able to co-exist with other cultures. Years back, English people used to live with Natives in the same region. The English people used to grab the land where the Natives lived. The English viewed the Natives as inferior, and they enslaved them. Also, they had a belief that they were acquiring a `God-given land’. This was not good. Cultural teachings aim for peace and persuade people to live harmoniously with respect. The English people never respected the natives instead their policies towards the Natives were based on segregation. On this, the segregation was based on religion; the English People were Christians while the Natives were heathens. The paper will analyze the clash of cultures between the natives and the Europeans.
When individuals or groups of people lose the grip of the culture, it may result in chaos and conflicts among the people and the society at large hence cultural clashes. Cultural clashes are conflicts that arise from people with different ideas and social values. Max Weber discovered two different cultures on work ethics, The Protestantism Work Ethic and The Spirit of Capitalism. The Protestantism Work Ethic or The Puritan Work Ethic stresses that hard work is a discipline which is as a result of individuals Religious Faith in God CITATION Kin16 \l 2057 (Kininmonth, 2016). The spirit of Capitalism is a theory that explains and tries to prove that the level of hard work is directly proportioned to the expected profits.
