Joint Air Integration
Combat commanders and joint task force face various problem which needs addressing to ensure the smooth running of operations. The severity or frequency of problems that the JFACCs face depends on whether the joint airpower integration is an interagency or a coalition. Each presents unique challenges but the coalition presents minimal issues due to creativity, and the absence of conflicting goals and policies.[Boxx, S. Edward. Airpower in the interagency: Success in the Dominican Republic. AIR UNIV MAXWELL AFB AL AIR FORCE RESEARCH INST, 2012.]

In the absence of conflicting goals, the JFACC would have minimal problems to handle. It would focus on other issues affecting the joint force, thus facilitating an effective operation. Such is not the case for interagency because in most cases, they present conflicting goals which need handling to facilitate a smooth running of operations. Each goal presents a challenge, thus increasing the number of issues they need to handle.[Drape, James H. Building partnership capacity: Operation Harmattan and beyond.
