Organizational ethics are the guidelines and principles which decide the way individuals should behave at the workplace

2. Please give a brief description of the similarities and differences between
Confucianism and altruism in concern for others.
Both Confucianism insist on being unselfish and be at the service for others.
Confucianism ethical codes are hinged on humanistic elements which encompass other ethical considerations and not only service for others like altruism.

1.Analyze the life of a fallen leader. Which elements of the shadow side of the
personality contributed to this individual’s downfall? What do you learn from this
person’s failure that you can apply in your own life? Write up your findings.
Karl Marx is considered a failure for unsuccessfully igniting the fall of capitalism.
Karl Marx narrow view of history as only being determined by economics made him overlook how he could create a foolproof substantive alternative to capitalism because he worked alone in trying to destroy capitalism. Therefore, to solve a societal problem, do not tackle the problem alone. Form a team to spread your ideas faster.
2. How do your values impact your behavior at work? What values conflicts do you
have with coworkers? How good is the match between your values and those of
your employer? Write up your conclusions.
My values guide my decision-making process. My behavior at my workplace is guided by my values which shape my character and habit.
Values that my values and those of the employer are very similar. The organizational values are the same as those which determine my actions and decisions at an individual level.
3.Develop a case study based on someone you consider to be an outstanding moral
example. How does this person demonstrate character and high moral identity?
What factors contributed to this person’s moral development? What do you learn
from this person’s example that can help you develop your character and moral
identity?
Mark is a chief strategic manager in the ABC group. He recently found out that two of the interns who were in his department were homeless. He immediately took them with him to his place and pushed for a legislation to have interns paid at least enough money to survive in the city.
* He demonstrates a caring character to his colleagues and juniors which is beyond his job description and takes them in when he notices that they are struggling.
* He was pushed by compassion to act in the best interest of his juniors at workplace.
I learn that at all times that we should care for one another and if in a position to act, must do so to alleviate their suffering. Caring is a fluid concept and therefore we must hinge it on compassion to ensure we do what is in the best interest of the other person.
