The U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRACOM) initiates the necessary command and control efforts to prevent strategic attacks. USSTRACOM is responsible for missile threat assessment, nuclear operations, NC3 enterprise operations, global strikes, and electromagnetic spectrum operations (Adam Lowther, 2019, pg.3).
