Cultural Behaviors: Religious views, Music, Arts, Cuisine, and Social Interaction

Behavioral Determinants
Culture is defined as the knowledge and characteristics of a specific group of people. The definition indicates that culture is a body of shared patterns relating to interactions and behaviors, understanding and cognitive constructs that are learned through socialization. Likewise, Western culture is the culture hailing from European countries, which was also influenced by the immigration of the Europeans to other regions such as the United States and Canada. Some of the behaviors I believe to be cultural include religious views, music, arts, cuisine, and social interaction:
Religious Views
There are more than a thousand religions globally, most of which are unknown in the Western world. However, the most widely known religion is Christianity, as believers are spread around the globe, including South America, Africa and Asia. Religious views and practices are cultural behaviors deeply embedded in American society (Jaszczolt & Witek 188). For instance, going to church every week is a cultural behavior related to religion, and which many Christians follow.
Music
Additionally, music is integral to culture as it helps different people from different backgrounds share ideas about their specific cultures (Jaszczolt & Witek 188). For instance, the United States has two distinct cultures, African-American and White. However, there have been cultural exchanges between the two cultures through music. Rap and Hip Hop is considered an integral part of African-American culture, but White people are now embracing the music genre, and some white rappers have been accepted in the black culture. For example, Marshall Mathers, popularly known as Eminem, is a white rapper from Detroit. However, over the years, the artist has mastered the art of rapping and gone on to be recognized as one of the greatest of all time in the industry, even by African-Americans. This has been due to Hip Hop being an essential element that helps spread African-American culture to the world.
