There have also been criticisms of the use of these two technologies. Pick one of the two technologies and research how it is being used in by law enforcement.

It entails getting someone’s face on an image or a video and comparing it with a large collection of existing images of known faces to get a match (McClellan, 2019). Police are using facial recognition for surveillance and criminal investigations. Police can scan crowds and identify wanted individuals who have committed crimes. In a criminal investigation, facial recognition is used to match images of suspects to the databases of known offenders. To an extent, facial recognition has been successful in assisting the police in identifying offenders. It has become a major tool in helping them catch criminals, hence improving security.
