Male and female have strategic mating strategies. While some are very similar, there are others that are distinct and set the males and females apart. This paper has focused on both differences and similarities of males and females.
The reproductive cells of males tend to be small, while those of a female are generally large. Further, the cells responsible for reproduction among the males tend to be in large quantities. In addition, they are mobile as opposed to those of female which they tend to be stationary.
In terms of investment towards the making of an offspring, the role of the male is very minimal. Pretty most of the responsibility lies with the female.
