1. In a couple of sentences, describe Dr. Fee's theme for this video.
Dr. Fee’s theme for the video is the Kingdom of God. He describes the Kingdom of God as the time when God exercises His sovereign rule on humanity. According to Fee, understanding the Kingdom of God is crucial to understanding why Jesus came. He explains that Jesus came to proclaim the Kingdom of God by saving mankind from sin.
2. What problem(s) was Dr. Fee trying to solve?
One of the problems Dr. Fee was trying to solve was the misunderstanding of the Kingdom. He clarified that the Kingdom is not a place or realm as many people tend to think, but the time when God rules. Fee was also trying to solve the ambiguous speaking of the Kingdom by Jesus. He stated that Jesus spoke of the Kingdom as a future event (51.12) and as a present reality (51.24). However, based on the ministry of Jesus, the future events have already become a present reality.
