Analysis of Mr. Grinch's Personality According to Carl Roger's Theory
Watch the 25-minutes cartoon video below depicting Mr. G., who has a rather distinct personality in which you will analyze. Toward the end of the documentary, you will see a drastic transformation in his personality (a change for better) in which you can also use.
Explain the personality of the Mr. G in the video by using at least four concepts or terms from Carl Rogers theory. Be sure to note the specific behaviors the Mr. G exhibits that led you to your conclusions (such as Positive Regard; Unconditional Positive Regard; Incongruence; Fully Functioning Person, etc).

One of the forerunners of the humanist movement in psychology is referred to as Carl Rogers, who was fascinated by the growth potential of healthy people. Upon hearing the word depression, what immediately comes to mind, is people being sad, but that is not always how depression expresses itself; sometimes, people who are depressed might get really irritable and even go to the point of withdrawing socially. Sometimes when people get depressed, some of the smallest things get on their nerves. This paper is going to analyze Mr. Grinch's personality according to Carl Roger's theory.
There is a reason why Grinch is so mean, and he cannot stand to be around people. People do not want to be around him, and he does not want to be around people. He lacks Unconditional positive regard, which simply means the degree to which anyone can create relationships that facilitate the growth of others as separate persons and also as a measure of the growth the person himself has achieved (Pescitelli, 1996). As a result, he is not getting a lot of love from the people around him. His heart is seen decreasing in size, which means it could be shriveling from the lack of love.
