U.S. HealthCare Delivery System

Coursework Instructions:

Please be specific and read all instructions for assignment.
The United States has a unique system of health care delivery which has evolved over time. Although the U.S. health care delivery system has evolved in response to cost, access, and quality, there are often assertions made about health care delivery in the United States. For example, according to Mary Mahon (2015), VP of Public Information at the Commonwealth Fund, the U.S. spends more on health care than other high-income nations, but has a lower life expectancy and worse health.

U.S Health Care
The U.S uses a unique system of health care programs compared with other developed nations globally. Numerous developed nations use universal health coverage in which the local government plays a significant role. Most people living in these countries have access to health care services that entail primary and routine health care (Jensen, 2015). However, adequate access to health care costs and health care services at both the national and individual levels continue to prove problematic for politicians, policymakers, and academics (Jensen, 2015). This essay talks about various issues revolving around health care services in the United States.
The United States considers health care as a right. The origin of the right to health is traced to the U.S. Healthcare was included in the bill constituted by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but his sudden demise prevented the Bill from being accessed and passed. However, Eleanor Roosevelt presented the bill to the United Nations, where it got approved. She was then appointed as the chairlady for the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights. She formed a panel that structured human rights. The U.S and the countries of the U.N adopted the act. After assuming the UDHR, the Unites States implemented health insurance systems that have enabled its citizens to benefit from the right to health. Additionally, the government of the U.S advocates for the right to health around the globe, emphasizing other nations to provide proper healthcare to its citizen. Health care is an essential requirement for well-being and should be rendered without restrictions.
The U.S spends massively on the provision of health services. In 2019, the United States allocated 17% of its Gross Domestic Product on health care despite that the following comparable country used 12% of its GDP (Greenwald, 2010). The difference in expenditure is brought about by how the health care system is controlled. Numerous developed countries centrally manage their universal health care systems th...
