When implementing an action research process, one may face uncertainty and unwillingness of the people to adopt changes. There is a need to evaluate whether people are receptive to change. Additionally, implement solutions requires aligning activities with strategic priorities. Molineux (2018) points out that as the system approach is beneficial in action research, there is a focus on the whole system in an organization, including the stakeholders, resources, leadership, and people issues. While there is also the allocation of resources, it is important to ensure the changes are successful. Improving the key processes requires focusing on improving the performance to achieve the objectives and add value. This is possible when there are operational plans that reflect the strategic direction.
