According to the TED Talk by Martin Seligman, there are three paths to positivity and happiness. The three paths are a good life, a pleasant life and a meaningful life. The psychologist notes that the most satisfied individuals discovered and explored their particular combination of signature strengths such as persistence, temperance, and humanity (Awaludhi, 2017). The three paths combine with the virtues to bring happiness. Martin’s concept of joy combines the teachings of ethics by Mencius, Aristotle, and Confucius.
