The third option is to pursue a design and build option. This design model will require in-house resources to oversee the design and construction work while leaving the rest to the subcontractor. The last alternative is to pursue the design and management approach. This construction model implies that the company takes care of the design and management aspects, including process design, while the contractor handles the building and construction work and logistics. The contract strategy that will best work for the case study factors the mentioned risks, construction timelines, need for flexibility, and compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Factory Reinstatement Project
The case scenario compels the contractor to deploy more labor on-site by assigning the project to several contractors to handle different aspects of the project. Working simultaneously with multiple contractors eliminates the cost and time overruns and ensures timely project completion.
