Crashing entails additional costs and resources to the project while fast tracking involves undertaking of activities in parallel. In this case, crashing implies additional cost but project activities are undertaken as early planned while fast tracking indicates an increased risk as it involves reorganizing of activities that may not be in line with the initial project plan (Baye & Prince, 2016). Therefore, given enough resources for the project and being behind schedule by two months, I will be forced to first analyze my project if there is any risk of undertaking activities in parallel. Some projects may have no problem running parallel activities if the activities are not dependent on each other. However, given the availability of resources and having enough money, I would go for crashing rather than fast tracking.
