* Why the change is needed 
As far as the change in lifestyle goes, I have concluded that I need nutrition and dietary changes. A need for better health necessitates the choice for nutrition and dietary changes. By adopting healthier lifestyle changes that incorporate taking healthy foods in their quality amounts as well as engaging in constant physical exercises is likely to reduce chances of contracting severe body problems such as obesity, hypertension, and diabetes (Miller, 2017). Apart from reducing health problems, shifting to healthy eating will improve my body energy, help me maintain healthy body weight and improve my overall health status.
The reduction of health risks in the body is made possible by reducing the level of cholesterol uptake. The nutritional and dietary intervention will target reduction in consumption of saturated fats, dietary cholesterol while moderately increasing the intake of polyunsaturated fat that increases energy in the body without necessarily inducing weight gain (Dolecek, Stamler, Caggiula, Tillotson, & Buzzard, 1997). Nutrition and dietary changes will also help me boost my self-esteem and increase pride in myself.
* What are your personal challenges in accomplishing this change
As the adage goes, old habits die hard. Adopting new eating habits is likely to be challenging. It usually is difficult to change deeply entrenched behaviors. Some of the challenges am likely to encounter include eating foods that I am not used to, eating foods that I dislike, eating less of foods I like, although healthy. Additionally, I am more likely to eat food prepared at home limiting my choices of buying foods from outside. Adopting new nutrition and dietary changes may require a change in the amount of food intake as well as adjusting my food intake frequency.
The new nutrition and dietary pattern may be challenging to adopt at first before I get used to it. Eating less than I usual may prompt me to return to my old dietary habits of eating ready, less-healthy foods.
