Install the appropriate Directory Services application on Windows Server.
Ensure that the root domain object is labeled as "win.companyname.net" appropriate for your corporation.
Note: You will need to install DNS either during or just prior to the Directory Services installation.

Write a 250- to 350-word paper discussing the key features and components of each directory service and how those components would best be applied for your corporation. You must use at least one credible reference.

A directory is a hierarchical structure that accumulates information about particulars on the network. A directory, in the most generic sense, is a broad listing of objects. A phone book is a type of directory that stores information about people, businesses, and government organizations. Phone books typically file names, addresses, and phone numbers. A directory resembles a database but figuratively contains more descriptive attribute-based data. Also, a directory embodies data that is concise and strictly relevant to an entry. By contrast, a database contains broad amounts of data for each entry that may, or may not be directly relevant to the entry. For this reason, a directory does not usually implement the transaction or roll-back schemes that normal databases demand. If they are permitted at all, directory updates are typically naive all-or-nothing changes. Directories are ordered to respond rapidly to high-volume lookup or search operations.
A directory service is a hierarchical arrangement of objects which are structured in a way that makes access effortless. It also assists organizations to have a central administration overall activities to carry out in their networks (Agrawal, 2019).
