Patient Compliance and Patient Education
Patient compliance is the extent to which the patient’s existing regime coincides with that prescribed to them by their healthcare provider. It is crucial in enhancing patient health outcomes, particularly those suffering from conditions that require extended medical attention (Dutt, 2017). Today, patient education is anchored on a shared decision-making framework where physicians seek to create effective patient-physician relationships to enhance clients’ health outcomes (Deniz et al., 2021).
