The legislation and implementation of Medicaid and Medicare were perhaps some of the best things in the United States. Similar to what you have said, I agree that such implementation had increased the average American’s access to quality and affordable healthcare. Another study shows that this increase in healthcare spending amounts to a 40% rise in healthcare spending per capita, showing how beneficial it is for the average American citizen CITATION Nes06 \l 1033 (Nesvisky, 2006).
Accordingly, I agree that President Obama’s Affordable Care Act was one of the proponents of the dramatic increase in healthcare improvement. Although the Act had significant similarities with the one that President Bush Jr. legislate during his term, it seems that the Affordable Care Act some of the salient points that have helped the public further were the acceptance of individuals with pre-existing conditions as well as the increase in funding for the implementation of the plan CITATION Arcnd \l 1033 (Archives.gov, 2020).
