The shift in reimbursement by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services has largely been successful. There are several reasons for this phenomenon. First, the shift has made healthcare more accountable for the quality of care they provide to patients. Generally, more quality care has been precipitated by the shift. Secondly, there has been increased satisfaction with insurance policies of the CMS. The value created in improved patient outcomes and consequent compensation of healthcare workers has increased satisfaction with the insurance policy.
