Infection control is the main issue our facility is trying to solve using evidence-based practice. Lives are lost from infections spreading in hospitals and that is enough reason to worry (MedlinePlus, 2018). Although the rates of hospital infection in our facility are minimal and almost insignificant, our organization is determined to completely eradicate all this menace. What a patient wants last is to go for treatment in a hospital and get a hospital-acquired infection. Nonetheless, nurses in our facility play a major role in assisting the organization and patients to prevent illnesses before they happen through adherence to evidence-based policies of infection control.
