Describe one in which you were (or wished you could have been) an opinion leader. What are the characteristics of opinion leaders? In what ways, do you see yourself being an opinion leader?

One of situation where I could have been an opinion leader required the input of various health practitioners to understand how best to integrate patient education to promote self-care. I have interest on how to best implement the self-care behaviors, and would have identified research findings that highlight ways to enhance self-care behavior after patient education intervention. Even as research evidence is integrated into clinical practice, the impact of opinion leaders cannot be ignored as they may influence what gets implemented first (Flodgren et al., 2014). I wish I could have influenced the adoption of patient education guidelines to promote health outcomes.
In health care settings, opinion leaders are trusted with information as they wield influence and inspire changes in the health care system, or health care procedures.
