Case Assignment
For this assignment you are to select a hospital for which you are familiar or have access to the needed information. This hospital will be the focus of the case and SLP assignments. 
For the module 1 case please submit a paper that:
1. Identifies a problem in hospital administration.
2. Describes the problem and discusses its importance.
Assignment Expectations
The objective of the capstone is to conduct research on a relevant issue in health care management, to identify the issues and implications, and to develop a plan to address this issue. Please draw from your exposure to the various issues discussed in the previous courses and from your professional experience. The capstone will give you the opportunity to apply information and skills gained from previous courses (and work experience) and to develop a plan to address a "real world" healthcare issue and apply problem-solving skills to the issue, while using knowledge you acquired in the courses you took for your BSHS. You will be expected to provide a scholarly basis for your response. Your opinions should be justified with evidence from the literature. References should be cited properly in the text of your essay, as well as at the end. Several scholarly references should be cited for this assignment. Please limit your response to 3 pages maximum.
Length: This assignment should be at least 2 pages (500 words) in length, excluding references.
References: At least two references should be included from academic sources (e.g. peer-reviewed journal articles).
Organization: Subheadings should be used to organize your paper.
Format: APA format is recommended. While APA formatting of references is not a requirement, the references need to be presented in order using a standard citation style (APA, AMA, MLA etc). When material is copied verbatim from external sources, it MUST be enclosed in quotes. The references should be cited within the text and also listed at the end of the assignment in the References section. See Syllabus page for more information on APA format.

Provision of healthcare occupies a central position in the present society. No community can make significant strides forward, without good medical infrastructure. A healthy society means a stronger populated that can channel its energy towards other activities that will in turn result to a boost in economic development. There, healthcare institutions are the heartbeat of the society and need to be managed with the seriousness that they deserve. Most hospitals face this challenge, among them, the University Healthcare System, which is located in San Antonio.
The hospital is one of the largest in the U.S, and also one of the biggest employers in the healthcare industry. As a result, it handles a massive budget every year to streamline its operations. In addition to inpatient and outpatient services, the hospital also offers emergency healthcare services in situations that need such. The problem arising with hospital funding has been found to be the single biggest stumbling block highlighted by most hospital heads, according to a survey done by the American College of Healthcare Executives (2015)...
