Paradigms in nursing have an essential role in providing global ideas about different aspects of the discipline, including the relationship between human beings, the environment, and health processes. Consequently, different paradigms exemplify the different models that can fit specific contextual aspects in nursing. The interactive/integrative paradigm views the contextual aspects affecting human beings, with health being part of such experiences that vary across time (Nwozichi et al., 2019). On the other hand, the unitary/transformative paradigm perceives human beings entrenched in an environment where they develop patterns and changes through different interactions (Smith & Fitzpatrick, 2019). These two paradigms offer diverse views and approaches that can describe the experiences of patients, practitioners, and overall health experiences.
