The issue of the credibility of the sources has risen in recent years. The main reason has been that people know that the outcome of their research will be based on the resources used. Since one of the goals of healthcare facilities is to offer for the safety of the patients, I looked for the resources that provided the information regarding it. I used the keywords "Best ways to improve patients' safety” on the website. This search has both reliable and unreliable sites.
For instance, one of the sites titled “Five Ways to Improve Patient Safety in Hospitals” was an unreliable source. One reason was that the source did not have publication dates (Infinity Health). Since the information keeps changing, checking how old it could be is important. For instance, if the information is too old, it could likely miss some critical information that could have happened within that time. Therefore lacking information regarding its publication date is interfering with the quality of the information. It is also unreliable because it has not cited other sources. In most instances, citing the sources from which the person has taken the information would help separate facts from opinions. The main reason is the reader can use the listed sources to get and prove the information you have highlighted.
On the other hand, the site titled “Patient Safety” was a reliable source. For example, this source had a publication date having being published on September 13, 2019. Moreover, the information on this site is reliable since it is up to date, having been published within the last three years (World Health Organization, 2019). The information will be outstanding when conducting the research. The other reason this source is reliable is that it referenced its information. For instance, it has listed twenty-one sources from which it has taken the information helping ...
